FREDERICKSBURG, Texas - On Thursday morning, February 19, 2026, at approximately 7:50 a.m., staff at Methodist Hospital Hill Country reported a threat to 9-1-1, prompting an emergency response from Fredericksburg Fire/EMS and the Fredericksburg Police Department.
Authorities say the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Bomb Squad is en route to the hospital to conduct a full clearance of the facility. Law enforcement and emergency personnel are currently searching the hospital out of an abundance of caution. At this time, no suspicious devices have been located.
Officials have secured the perimeter around the hospital and are asking the public to avoid the area if possible. In the event of an emergency, residents are urged to call 9-1-1.
The response comes as similar threats were reported across the region on Wednesday.
