Community Tips Lead to Quick Arrest in Armed Robbery on Bandera Road

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A robbery on the Northwest Side was solved in just two days thanks to tips from the public.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, officers with the San Antonio Police Department responded to a robbery in progress in the 2500 block of Bandera Road near Loop 410.

Police say the suspect, later identified as 32-year-old Joshua Barron, robbed employees at gunpoint and left the business with merchandise without paying.

With help from the community, investigators were able to quickly identify Barron. He was taken into custody without incident on Friday, February 6.

Barron has been charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery.

The department’s Robbery Task Force Unit thanked the public for its assistance, noting that community cooperation played a key role in identifying and apprehending the suspect within 48 hours of the crime.
