Man Sentenced To 30 Years In 2022 San Antonio Home Invasion Murder

Malyk Jason

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas - A man convicted for his role in a deadly home invasion robbery was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison, closing another chapter in a 2022 murder case that left one victim dead.

On Jan. 23, 2026, Judge Catherine Stahl of the 175th District Court sentenced Malyk Jason to three decades behind bars for his involvement in the murder of Corwin Davis. The sentencing follows the conviction and punishment of Jason’s accomplice, Seth Little, who received a 40-year prison sentence last week for his role in the same crime.

Prosecutors said the case stemmed from a May 2022 incident in which Jason and Little forced their way into Davis’s home with the intent to commit a robbery. During the break-in, Davis was shot and killed.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Criminal District Attorney Madeline Flosi of the Criminal Trial Division, with assistance from Victim Advocate Helen Yruegas and Investigator Albert Lopez.

“Both defendants played a part in this brutal crime, and both are now facing the consequences for their horrible crime,” said Joe Gonzales. “Our office is and will always fight for victims and their families, making sure those who commit such acts are removed from our streets.”
