The Fredericksburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man wanted in connection with the rape of a child that occurred eight years ago.
On December 4, 2025, a victim came forward to report that she had been sexually assaulted in 2017, when she was twelve years old. The case was assigned to Detective A. Tittle, who began a detailed investigation. According to police, evidence gathered during the investigation corroborated the victim’s account.
Detective Tittle identified the suspect as David Jackson of Fredericksburg and obtained a felony warrant for rape of a child less than 13 years of age. Jackson remains at large.
Jackson is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and a red beanie. Police say he is known to frequent the FXBGO bus line, downtown Fredericksburg, and the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.
Authorities stress that Jackson should not be approached.
