DPS Seeks Public Help Identifying Woman Killed in Wilson County Crash on US-181

WILSON COUNTY, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a female pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle on July 19, 2025.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. on US-181, roughly three-quarters of a mile north of the FM 775 intersection. According to DPS, the woman walked into the roadway and was pronounced deceased at the scene. She has not yet been identified.

To aid the investigation, DPS has released a postmortem rendering created by a Digital Forensic Imaging Specialist, as well as a screenshot showing the woman at a nearby Subway located at 14028 US-181 prior to the crash.

Anyone with information regarding the woman’s identity or who may have seen her in the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact the Texas Department of Public Safety at 210-531-2280.

Authorities emphasize that any information could be crucial in providing closure for the victim and advancing the investigation.
