Graffiti Close to School Leads to Felony Arrest in Comal County

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX - Comal County Deputies were alerted after markings were found near homes and close to Veramendi Elementary, which led to concern among families and school staff. Detectives opened an investigation right away and were able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Alaxander Gullion, who has been cooperating with authorities.

Interviews with Gullion and other follow-up work gave investigators enough information to secure a warrant for Terroristic Threat – Impair Public Service / Public Fear Serious Bodily Injury. The charge is a third-degree felony that carries a possible sentence of 2 to 10 years in prison and fines up to ten thousand dollars.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, there’s no indication of an ongoing or credible threat to residents, students, or the surrounding community. Investigators believe the graffiti was an isolated act rather than part of a broader plan.

The Comal County Sheriff's Office thanked the New Braunfels Police Department for its help during the case, noting the strong partnership between the two departments. The Sheriff’s Office also encouraged residents to keep reporting suspicious activity and emphasized its commitment to community safety.

The investigation is still active.
