BANDERA, TX – The Bandera Bulldogs capped a historic 10-0 regular season Friday night with a 38-0 victory over the Carrizo Springs Wildcats, securing the program’s first undefeated regular season since 1984. The win also earned the Bulldogs the District Championship and a #1 seed heading into the state playoffs.

Quarterback Dalton Parks led the offense with four total touchdowns, including a 25-yard pass to Breydan Gherman and a 52-yard touchdown connection with Jeffry Thomas. Thomas finished with 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Gherman added a rushing score. Running back Juan Cabrera powered the ground game with 112 rushing yards, benefiting from a strong offensive line.

Defensively, the Bulldogs recorded a shutout, limiting the Wildcats and finishing the regular season as the third-best defense in 4A, allowing just 11.5 points per game. In district play, Bandera outscored opponents 163-28, forcing turnovers that gave the offense favorable field position.

Head Coach Joel Fontenot-Amedee praised both units for their effort and teamwork and emphasized that the team is focused on the next stage: the playoffs.

Bandera will face the Gonzales Apaches as the #1 seed in the Bi-District playoff at 7:00 PM Friday at Harlandale Memorial Stadium in San Antonio.
