On Wednesday, October 23, San Antonio Police Homicide Detectives arrested 25-year-old Jeremiah Williams for the 2019 murder of George Albert Ramos.

Ramos, an 18-year-old professional boxer, was shot and killed on June 20, 2019, while sitting in his white Ford Expedition at a Shell gas station in the 10100 block of Culebra Road on the city’s northwest side. Surveillance video showed a man walking up to Ramos’ vehicle before driving away in a red four-door sedan.

Detectives began investigating immediately after the shooting, but after all leads were exhausted, the case was transferred to the Cold Case Unit in 2024 for continued investigation. Detectives persisted in following every lead and piece of evidence, which ultimately led to identifying a suspect.

Williams was located during a traffic stop on the west side of San Antonio and later arrested on a murder warrant following an interview with detectives.

“Outstanding work to our homicide detectives who are dedicated to bringing justice to the victims and their families,” the San Antonio Police Department said.
