On Sunday night, August 17, an Atascosa County patrol deputy from the "B" shift stopped a suspicious vehicle after it entered a commercial oil production property on Coughran Road, a location that has experienced several thefts, including copper theft.
During the stop, Deputy Martinez discovered that neither occupant had a driver’s license or insurance. Deputies also located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and tools commonly associated with theft.
The driver was identified as Anthony Trevino of San Antonio, and the passenger as Elizabeth Rodriguez of Corpus Christi. Both were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, a felony offense.
The suspects were booked into the Atascosa County Jail without further incident.
