Two Dead, One Injured in Hondo Shooting; Suspect Charged with Capital Murder

Medina County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Friday morning, August 1, 2025, in the 200 block of CR 4636 in Hondo, Texas.

Deputies responded to a 911 call regarding suspicious activity at approximately 12:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they found three adult victims with gunshot wounds and signs of blunt force trauma. A 52-year-old male and an unidentified adult female were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third victim, a 59-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Following a swift investigation and assistance from witnesses, deputies identified and arrested 36-year-old Adam Hernandez. He has been charged with Capital Murder of Multiple Persons and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He is currently in custody.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending next of kin notification. The investigation remains ongoing.
