BOERNE, TX — On Friday, July 25, at 3:09 p.m., Boerne Police Department was alerted by Bexar County Sheriff’s Office of a high-speed vehicle pursuit on I-10 West heading toward Boerne from San Antonio.

Boerne officers joined the chase as the suspect vehicle entered city limits. The pursuit ended when the vehicle suffered a blowout and stopped on the I-10 westbound frontage road near Parkway Drive.

Two suspects fled the vehicle on foot. One was quickly apprehended by a Department of Public Safety trooper, while the other ran onto Y-Bell Ranch Supply property along the frontage road. The second suspect was caught around 3:35 p.m. on the business premises.

Both suspects have been arrested, and authorities confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Law enforcement set up a perimeter during the search, briefly closing some local streets, all of which have since reopened.

The stolen vehicle was reported to have been traveling at speeds exceeding 100 mph during the pursuit.
