Suspect Arrested in Double Fatal Shooting at San Antonio HEB

Lorenzo Aleman

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man has been arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder following a shooting at an HEB parking lot on the 4100 block of S. New Braunfels Ave in the Highlands area. 49-year-old Lorenzo Aleman was taken into custody within five hours of the incident, thanks to witness cooperation and swift police action.

The shooting occurred at approximately 10:00 PM last night. According to police, Aleman drove to the HEB and located his ex-partner and her new partner in the parking lot. He then shot and killed both individuals before fleeing the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old male and a 41-year-old female with fatal gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) spokeswoman Camelia Juarez stated that further investigation revealed the three individuals were "involved in a love triangle."

Witnesses provided crucial information, identifying the suspect, his license plate, and picking him out of a lineup. Their cooperation led officers to Aleman's residence, where he was arrested.
