Alan Evonishon has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child, and an additional 20 years on three counts of indecency with a child contact, to run concurrently. The lengthy sentence was delivered this week by Visiting Judge Laura Parker in the 290th District Court.
The crimes came to light one evening in October 2018 when two daughters informed their mother that they had been sexually assaulted by Evonishon for an extended period. Following their revelation, the girls' mother confronted Evonishon with the allegations.
Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Raymond Saldana and Luis Echeverria led the prosecution, supported by Victim Advocate Paul Manriquez and Investigator Brian King.
"The courage displayed by the victims in speaking out against this wrongdoing not only brought light to the truth but also played a crucial role in securing a conviction and sentencing," said Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales. “Now that this chapter is closed in their lives, we hope that the healing process can begin for them and all others who were affected."
