Bandera High Graduate Selected for Prestigious McKnight Scholars Program at OSU

Jalyn Lamb

Jalyn Lamb of Bandera, Texas, has been selected for Class XV of the McKnight Scholars Leadership Program at Oklahoma State University. A graduate of Bandera High School, Lamb joins a nationally recognized group of high-achieving students chosen for their leadership, academic excellence, and commitment to service.

The McKnight Scholars Leadership Program, supported by philanthropists Ross and Billie McKnight, selects approximately 50 out-of-state students each year through a competitive application process. Scholars are awarded a leadership and scholarship package valued at $85,000, which includes an out-of-state tuition waiver, $5,000 annually in cash scholarships, and a short-term study abroad experience.

In addition to financial support, McKnight Scholars participate in exclusive leadership courses, receive mentoring from senior program members, undergo leadership aptitude assessments, and join a national network of alumni and current scholars.

“We are honored to welcome Jalyn into Class XV of the McKnight Scholars Leadership Program,” said Dr. Josh Taylor, director of the Hargis Leadership Institute. “This cohort represents some of the most inspiring student leaders from across the country, and we look forward to the impact they will make at OSU and beyond.”
