A 4-year-old child has tragically died after being struck by a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot on Thursday afternoon, June 26th.

The New Braunfels Police Department and New Braunfels Fire Department were called to the 700 block of IH 35 North at approximately 4:00 p.m. for a report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a child pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers found the child suffering from serious injuries. Advanced life support procedures were administered, and the child was transported to the emergency room at Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels, where they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.

This incident is currently under investigation by the New Braunfels Police Department Traffic Unit.
