San Antonio Police Detective Albert Garansuay was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on Friday, June 6, 2025, at approximately 2 a.m. The arrest was made by SAPD officers while Garansuay was off-duty (Case number: SAPD25113480).
Detective Garansuay, who has served with the San Antonio Police Department for 19 years, is assigned to the Street Crimes Gun Unit. Following the arrest, he has been placed on administrative duty.
The San Antonio Police Department is conducting both a criminal and administrative investigation into the incident.
