Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck towing a trailer just before noon on Monday, June 2nd, south of the Uvalde-Zavala county line in Zavala County.
Initial reports indicated that the driver of the pickup truck was trapped after the vehicle rolled onto its side and came to rest in a bar ditch. Fortunately, by the time emergency crews arrived, the driver had successfully exited the truck. The injured driver was then transported to a hospital by Uvalde EMS.
Responding agencies included the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department, Batesville Fire Department, Uvalde EMS, the Zavala Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
