Bandera High School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Dustin Baumann as the new Assistant Principal for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year. With an extensive background in education, Mr. Baumann brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted connection to the Bandera community.
Mr. Baumann's journey in education began with his Bachelor's Degree from Tarleton State University in 2007. Determined to further his knowledge and skills, he pursued a Masters degree in Educational Administration, which he successfully obtained from Lamar University in 2016. Throughout his career, Mr. Baumann has amassed sixteen years of valuable educational experience, fourteen of which were spent as a dedicated teacher and coach. He later transitioned to the role of Assistant Principal, where he gained two years of administrative expertise.
As a former Bandera Bulldog, Mr. Baumann holds a profound appreciation for the strong sense of community that exists within Bandera Independent School District (BISD) and the pride instilled in both students and staff. His return to Bandera as an Assistant Principal has been warmly welcomed by the district. Superintendent Bitzkie expressed his delight, stating that he is pleased to see Mr. Baumann back in the district and is confident that he will seamlessly integrate into the BHS staff, quickly becoming a trusted member of the BHS Admin Team.
In assuming the role of Assistant Principal, Mr. Baumann will be succeeding Mrs. Gina Austin, who has embarked on new educational endeavors.
