Bandera ISD proudly announced today the hiring of Aidan Keane as the new Head Coach for the 2025-2026 Lady Bulldogs Soccer Program. A 2017 graduate of Bandera High School, Coach Keane brings a deep passion for the game and a strong legacy of success to his new role.
Keane was a standout goalkeeper for Bandera, earning All-State honors in both 2016 and 2017. He was a key player in leading the Bandera boys' soccer team to a historic run to the Class 4A Region IV Championship in his senior year.
After high school, Keane continued his athletic career at McMurry University, playing collegiate soccer for three seasons. As a sophomore, he was named the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Defensive Player of the Week after recording seven saves in a shutout victory.
In 2021, Keane returned to Bandera, joining the boys' soccer coaching staff as an assistant. Over the past four seasons, he played a pivotal role in talent development, mentoring three first-team All-Region goalkeepers and one first-team All-State goalkeeper. This past season, the Bulldogs made a long-awaited return to the playoffs, their first since Keane's own senior year.
Beyond soccer, Keane was also named Head Boys Cross Country Coach in 2023, leading the Bulldogs to their fifth consecutive trip to the Region IV Cross Country Meet.
"Coach Keane embodies the heart and hustle of a true Bulldog," said Joel Fontenot-Amedee, BISD Athletic Director. "He knows what it means to wear Bandera blue and brings a winning mindset, high-level experience, and strong mentorship to our Lady Bulldogs program."
Bandera ISD extends its congratulations to Coach Keane as he takes on this exciting new role and looks forward to the continued growth and success of the Lady Bulldogs under his leadership.
