Man Arrested After Threatening Individual with Firearm at Pleasanton Walmart


A 34-year-old man from Christine was arrested on Wednesday, April 23rd, after allegedly brandishing a firearm and threatening another individual at the Pleasanton Walmart.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Pleasanton Police dispatchers received a report of the incident. Officers responded to the scene but discovered the suspect had already fled. A search was initiated, and the suspect was located hiding in a parking lot near EZ Pawn a short time later. He was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives investigating the incident reviewed video footage and witness statements. Their investigation revealed that the two males were involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect retrieved a pistol from his vehicle, pointed it at the victim, and threatened to kill him. Multiple witnesses corroborated this account.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Atascosa County Jail, where he is facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
