San Antonio Woman Gets Over 4 Years in Federal Prison for Cocaine Conspiracy


Gisselle Cabrera Rodriguez, 25, of San Antonio, has been sentenced to 50 months in federal prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.  

According to court documents, Rodriguez was pulled over on February 6, 2024, by Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies for traffic violations. A search of her vehicle revealed 1.2 kilograms of cocaine. A subsequent search warrant at her residence led to the discovery of an additional 2.3 kilograms of cocaine and $45,700 in cash, identified as drug trafficking proceeds. Rodriguez admitted to trafficking at least five kilograms of cocaine per week for five to six months before her arrest.  

Rodriguez pleaded guilty to one count of a two-count indictment. In addition to the prison term, she was ordered to forfeit the $45,700.  

Acting U.S. Attorney Margaret Leachman for the Western District of Texas announced the sentence. The FBI, with assistance from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and the San Antonio Police Department, investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Fedock prosecuted the case.
