Bandera Electric Cooperative (BEC) received the prestigious Outstanding Cooperative of the Year award at the 21st annual Texas Energy Summit, recognizing its leadership in environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.
The Texas Energy Summit, organized by the Energy Systems Laboratory at Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers to explore clean energy solutions that enhance air quality and strengthen the Texas economy. The event honors organizations making significant contributions to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.
BEC was recognized for its innovative programs, including solar power initiatives, battery storage solutions, and energy management services, all aimed at improving environmental quality while delivering reliable and affordable energy to its members.
