On Sunday, October 13, 2024, at approximately 7:20 a.m., Comal County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 400 block of Lost Creek Drive in Bulverde, Comal County, Texas, after receiving reports of three individuals actively burglarizing vehicles in the neighborhood.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered that three male suspects had been breaking into vehicles and were confronted by a homeowner after being found in the homeowner’s garage. The homeowner reported that one of the suspects displayed a handgun. While fleeing the scene, the firearm was discharged, though no injuries were reported.
Deputies quickly established a perimeter, and with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and drone operators, the three individuals were located and apprehended.
Paul Cristo Garcia, 39, of San Antonio, Texas, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery (a 1st-degree felony) and Evading Arrest (a Class A misdemeanor). He is currently being held at the Comal County Jail, and bond has yet to be set.
The two other suspects, both 16-year-old residents of San Antonio, were processed and detained at area juvenile detention facilities. They face charges of aggravated robbery and evading arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
