On September 29, 2024, at approximately 11:22 p.m., the Schertz Police Department responded to a fatal vehicle collision at the intersection of FM 1518 and Schaefer Road. The crash involved a motorcyclist and a bicyclist, resulting in the deaths of both individuals.
