On June 28, 2024, Aaron James Declouette, aged 61 and residing in San Antonio, was arrested on a warrant for Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, classified as a Third Degree Felony. This development comes after a yearlong investigation into the suspicious death of Lisa Sipes, aged 42, at the Palmera Apartments on May 26, 2023. The Schertz Police Department responded to the incident at around 10:00 P.M., where Sipes was discovered deceased under circumstances deemed suspicious.
Declouette was taken into custody and subsequently transported to the Guadalupe County Jail without any reported incident during his booking process.
