Bandera City Prepares for Feral Cat Care Event on June 14

Bandera City Marshal's Office is gearing up for a Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) event aimed at managing the population of feral cats within the city limits. Scheduled for Friday, June 14th, from 9AM to 2PM at Bandera City Park's pavilion, the event will provide spaying/neutering and vaccinations for up to 45 feral cats.

Those interested in bringing feral cats for treatment or needing assistance with trapping can request appointments or help via email at cowboycapitalcares@gmail.com. Appointments will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Pet cat owners can also request to be put on a waiting list for any open appointments, with a suggested donation for treatment.

Volunteers and donations of old beach towels, traps, and dry cat food are welcomed. Trap loans are also appreciated; those willing to lend traps are requested to label them with a name and phone number before dropping them off at the Bandera City Marshal's Office or City Hall the week of June 10th.

For inquiries or more information, contact cowboycapitalcares@gmail.com or the Marshal’s Office at 830.460.7172. The event is made possible through the support of the Bandera EDC and the Loving Texas Pet Assistance nonprofit group, marking the beginning of a series of TNR events aimed at assisting the local feral cat population.
