Schertz Police Department responded to a fatal incident at a construction site on May 28, 2024, at approximately 4:24 P.M. The incident took place in a field south of the 17000 block of Tejas Way. EMS and Fire personnel were dispatched, finding a 40-year-old Hispanic male with a fatal injury. Yantis Construction company is cooperating with investigators. The victim’s identity is withheld pending next of kin notification. Thoughts are with the victim’s family, friends, and the Yantis Construction Company. Ongoing investigation; OSHA notified due to the site being a construction area.
