Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force Seizes 900 Counterfeit Fentanyl Pills in Schertz Operation

On March 28, 2024, at 10:56 pm, the Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force (GCNTF) carried out an operation within the city limits of Schertz, Guadalupe County. The operation targeted narcotics activities and led to a significant seizure. Approximately 900 counterfeit “M30” pills suspected of containing Fentanyl were confiscated during the operation.

Following the seizure, Christian Vasquez was taken into custody by the authorities. Vasquez has been booked into the Guadalupe County Jail on multiple charges. These charges include Manufacture or Delivery of Substance in Penalty Group 1, categorized as a felony in the first degree, for possessing four grams or more but less than 200 grams. Additionally, Vasquez faces charges of Possession of Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, a felony in the third degree, for possessing one gram but less than four grams.

The GCNTF, responsible for the operation, comprises detectives and investigators from various law enforcement agencies. These include the Seguin Police Department, Cibolo Police Department, and the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office. Their collaborative efforts played a crucial role in the successful execution of the operation and the subsequent arrest.
