San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) officers have arrested Sysco Barrientes, a 27-year-old individual, in connection with a murder that occurred on December 30th, 2023. The incident took place around 3:30 am at the 700 block of Pennystone Ave. Upon responding to a reported shooting, officers discovered a victim deceased with apparent gunshot wounds at the scene.
San Antonio Police Homicide Detectives initiated an investigation immediately after the incident. Through their diligent efforts, they were able to identify Barrientes as a suspect in the case.
On the night of March 22, 2024, members of the SAPD Covert Unit, assisted by the SAPD Street Crimes Unit, successfully located and apprehended Barrientes without any further incident. The arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the murder case.
