Texas DPS Adds San Antonio Fugitive to Most Wanted List, Offers $5,000 Reward

Jesse Vega

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced the addition of Jesse Vega to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list. Texas Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Vega’s arrest.

Vega, aged 37, hailing from San Antonio, is affiliated with the Tango Orejon gang and has been sought since September 2023 for a parole violation.

Vega has a criminal history dating back to 2005 when he was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resulting in a two-year confinement in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison. Subsequently, in 2009, he was convicted of aggravated robbery and received a sentence of 25 years confinement in a TDCJ prison. Vega was released on parole in May 2023.

Standing at 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 215 pounds, Vega is recognizable by his numerous tattoos which adorn his head, face, neck, chest, abdomen, back, both arms, and both hands.

To be eligible for cash rewards, tipsters MUST provide information to authorities using one of the following three methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All tips are anonymous—regardless of how they are submitted—and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
