The rider turned onto Grasshopper Lane from Ranch Road 1631, continuing to evade the deputy. The pursuit led to the 900 block of Jerald Drive, where the rider entered a wooded area. The deputy pursued on foot.

During the pursuit, the rider lost control in a sandy area, causing the motorcycle to tip over. The deputy successfully detained the rider.

The rider, identified as 39-year-old Dustin Alan Sledge of Fredericksburg, was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. Additionally, a handgun was discovered in a storage container on the motorcycle, leading to a charge of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
