Residential Burglary in Gillespie County Leads to Confessions from Three Juveniles

On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at approximately 9:34 a.m., a report of a residential burglary on Frantzen Lane in Gillespie County was received by a deputy. The complainant informed the deputy that a window had been broken, allowing entry into the residence, with lights left on inside.

The complainant provided security video footage, revealing the presence of three younger individuals on the property, seen entering the residence on multiple occasions. With collaboration from the Fredericksburg Police Department, two of the individuals were identified due to their approximate age.

Investigators from the Gillespie County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) subsequently engaged with the identified individuals, who admitted to entering the residence and absconding with several items. Among the trio, two are minors aged 12 and 16, while the third individual is 17 years old.

The investigation remains ongoing, with charges expected to be filed against the perpetrators.
