Methodist Hospital Hill Country Appoints New Chief Medical Officer

Methodist Hospital | Hill Country has proudly announced the appointment of Dr. Roger Galindo as its new Chief Medical Officer, effective January 22, 2024.

With over 28 years of extensive medical experience, Dr. Galindo is poised to bring his expertise to the Hill Country community. Previously serving as Assistant Professor at the UTRGV School of Medicine and Department of Surgery and Trauma Medical Director, Dr. Galindo has also had a distinguished 22-year career in the military.

A graduate of St. Mary's University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and the University of Texas Houston with a Medical Degree (M.D.), Dr. Galindo completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Fellowship in Hepaticopancreato Biliary and Advanced Endoscopy at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Galindo's professional affiliations include membership in esteemed organizations such as the International Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Association (IHPBA), Americas Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Association, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association, San Diego County Medical Society, and the American College of Surgeons.

Excited about the opportunity, Dr. Galindo and his wife, who currently reside in Harlingen, Texas, look forward to immersing themselves in the Hill Country culture and community.
