The Arthur Nagel Community Clinic is excited to announce the second annual Bandera Bunny Run/Walk 5K, scheduled for Saturday, April 13. This event aims to raise funds for patients in need of specialized medical care, including fields like oncology, neurology, and cardiology.
Starting at 8:30 a.m., participants will gather at the Bandera Village of Hope Events Center, located at 1116 12th Street, the home of the Nagel Clinic. The scenic 5K course will wind through the historic courthouse, town center, and along the picturesque Medina River before concluding at the Clinic. Race day registration opens at 7 a.m., fostering a festive atmosphere celebrating spring and warmer weather. Bunny ears and costumes are welcomed but not mandatory.
Runners and walkers of all ages are encouraged to register early. Prizes will be awarded in seven categories for men, women, and children, with family and friends invited to cheer on participants. Early Bird registration, available at athleteguild.com, is open until March 13, costing $35 per person. After March 13, the fee increases to $45 per person, while middle and high school students can register for $20. Children aged 10 and under race for free.
All participants receive an official Bandera Bunny Run/Walk 5K t-shirt and a special event goodie bag, including a timed chip bib. Race packets can be picked up at the Nagel Clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 12 or on the morning of the race.

Medals will be awarded to the top three males and females in various age groups, with all skill levels and experiences welcome. Children participants will receive ribbons.
The Bandera Bunny Run/Walk 5K schedule includes Early Bird Registration until March 13, Regular Registration from March 14 to April 13, and packet pickup on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On race day, registration and check-in begin at 7 a.m., with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. Medals will be awarded after all participants finish, and door prize winners will be announced following the medal awards presentation.
For the first time, a Bandera Bunny Run Kickoff Lunch will be held at noon on Friday, April 5, at the Village of Hope Events Center. Noted Hill Country philanthropist and former registered nurse Estela Avery will be the guest speaker.
