In a shocking incident on Friday morning, a 13-year-old student was stabbed by his 14-year-old peer inside a classroom at IDEA Carver on Robinson Place, according to San Antonio police.
Authorities reported that around 9 a.m., the 14-year-old student abruptly left his seat, approached the victim, and slashed his throat with a sharp object. The injury was described as "superficial," and the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Quick intervention by the teacher halted the altercation, and the suspect was subsequently detained by the police. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.
Parents were notified of the incident, leading to IDEA Carver being placed on a HOLD alert, which has since been lifted. IDEA Public Schools released a statement, asserting their full cooperation with the ongoing police investigation.
