The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department is set to host the Heart and Sole 5K & Fun Run at Lady Bird Johnson Park (10700 Nacodgdoches Rd) on Saturday, February 10, from 8 - 10 a.m.

This family-friendly event, aligned with the Get Fit SA initiative, aims to promote a healthy lifestyle in celebration of American Heart Month. The 5K, open to runners and walkers of all ages, offers free t-shirts to participants while supplies last. Get Fit SA, a citywide fitness initiative, caters to diverse fitness levels.

Nikki Ramos, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, expressed excitement, stating, "Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to stay active, we have fitness opportunities for everyone."

Apart from the 5K, the morning activities include a Zumba warm-up, a 1-mile Fun Run, a healthy vendor fair, Mobile Fit van health screenings, and post-event stretching.

The event encourages community members to embrace an active lifestyle and contribute to the spirit of American Heart Month.
