On Monday, January 22, 2024, 33-year-old Deandre Edom was apprehended by authorities in connection with an aggravated robbery at the Circle K located in the 4600 block of Rittiman. Surveillance footage captured Edom entering the store, approaching the counter, and brandishing a firearm to demand money from the cash register. Fearing for their safety, the victims complied, and Edom leaped over the counter to collect the cash before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, law enforcement agencies, including the Street Crimes Unit, K-9 Unit, and Raven, coordinated efforts to track down Edom. Their efforts proved successful as they located both Edom and the firearm used in the robbery. Distinctive tattoos on the suspect have raised suspicions of his involvement in other unsolved robberies, and further charges are anticipated.
Deandre Edom was booked on Monday for the initial robbery charge, with additional legal actions expected in the ongoing investigation.
