Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Amris Celeste Vasquez, 19, in connection with a child indecency case involving a teenager she was babysitting. Vasquez faces charges of indecency with a child by contact and display of harmful matter to a minor.
According to Sheriff Javier Salazar, the victim informed her father about the inappropriate touching by Vasquez on October 25, 2023. Salazar revealed that Vasquez had sent a video to the minor, depicting explicit content involving her and another person engaged in oral sex.
Upon receiving the video, the teen expressed discomfort, to which Vasquez responded by sending a nude photo of herself. Despite the victim's objections, Salazar reported that later that night, Vasquez entered the teenager’s bed and engaged in inappropriate touching.
A warrant for Vasquez’s arrest was secured by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office a week ago, even though she had relocated to Dallas for work. Sheriff Salazar mentioned that Vasquez was lured back to San Antonio, where she was arrested on Monday.
There is uncertainty regarding potential charges related to Vasquez having sexual activity with a minor in the video sent to the 15-year-old. The investigation is ongoing.
