Bandera High School Excels at Wimberley UIL Tournament with Multiple Individual Awards

Bandera High School's Academic, Speech, and Debate teams excelled at the Wimberley UIL tournament this weekend. The students showcased their talents, earning individual awards in various categories. The results are as follows:

  • Sam Bottoms secured 4th Place in Number Sense and 2nd Place in Individual Computer Science.
  • The Computer Science Team, consisting of Sam Bottoms, Sarah Guajardo, Alec Smith, and Nicholas Morales, claimed 1st Place.
  • Additional Computer Science awards were achieved by Sarah Guajardo (3rd place) and Alec Smith (4th place).
  • Mary Freeman earned 4th Place in Ready Writing.
  • Carter Rissmiller achieved 4th Place in News Writing.
  • Jocelyn Klein performed well in both News Writing (5th place) and Editorial Writing (6th place).
  • Vanessa Perez secured 6th Place in Feature Writing.
  • Steven Koonce impressed with a 3rd Place finish in Informative Speaking.
