All that glitters is not gold! The Kerrville Police Department arrested a suspect yesterday who tried to sell the pictured counterfeit gold bars to a local business. Fortunately the business had the means to check before buying.
The investigation is still in progress.
If you bought gold recently, police officials recommend you take it to a reputable jeweler to ensure it’s the real thing.
Contact KPD if you have bought counterfeit gold. Please don’t bring your gold to KPD for them to check and verify if it's gold.
