San Antonio Police Officer Injured in Shooting During Traffic Stop Released from Hospital

In the early hours of Saturday, January 13th, San Antonio Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 8200 block of Marbach Rd. As officers approached the vehicle, a suspect inside began shooting towards them, injuring one officer in the line of duty. The wounded officer was taken to the hospital and has since been released. Today, the officer is heading home to recover.

"We acknowledge the daily sacrifices made by our officers to ensure community safety. Please keep this officer and their family in your thoughts and prayers for a swift recovery. The city of San Antonio appreciates the continued love and support shown for our officers during this time. Let us collectively pray for the safety of all officers, hoping that each one returns home safely at the end of their shifts.", said the San Antonio Police Department in a statement.
