San Antonio Man Arrested for String of Robberies Targeting Delivery Trucks

Tony Larenzo Cornelius Jr

On Saturday night, Tony Larenzo Cornelius Jr. was arrested for being involved in a series of robberies across the San Antonio area.

Cornelius, arrested on November 30, 2023, is accused of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, according to police reports. The charges stem from his alleged participation in two thefts and three aggravated robberies that occurred between October 27, 2023, and November 29, 2023.

Police documents reveal that Cornelius, accompanied by two accomplices, targeted grocery company delivery trucks with open trailers. The modus operandi involved driving to parked delivery trucks, where Cornelius and one partner would reportedly enter and hold the delivery driver at knife or gunpoint. The stolen property would then be taken from the delivery truck before making a quick getaway.

Upon Cornelius's apprehension, law enforcement claims to have recovered $16,000 worth of stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.
