In a festive announcement, the City of Boerne is thrilled to introduce a touch of winter magic to the Hill Country Mile this holiday season with the arrival of a charming ice rink.
Located at Waterworks Terrace (210 W. Blanco Road), just across from Main Plaza, the ice rink is set to open its gates on Thanksgiving Day. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the icy enchantment from November 23 through December 31, with daily operating hours from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
To ensure a smooth skating experience, it is highly recommended to reserve skating time online, as walk-up slots will be limited. Ticket prices range from $15 to $22, depending on the day of the week and desired skating time. Each ticket includes skate rental and one hour of delightful gliding on the ice. For the littlest ones, children aged three and under skate for free, and the rink offers dolphin skate aids, allowing them to sit and be gently pushed by an adult.
Safety measures are in place, requiring children aged 12 and under to have adult supervision while skating. Additionally, children aged five and under must be accompanied by an adult skater on the ice. Prior to lacing up their skates, all participants are required to sign a waiver.
