The victims of a fatal shooting at a house party over the weekend have been identified as Marvin Medrano, 40, and Jennifer Colin, 30, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. Both individuals succumbed to gunshot wounds to the head, with Colin having recently celebrated her 30th birthday.

The incident unfolded on Saturday night at a residence located in the 300 block of Roslyn Avenue, where 20-year-old Raul Trevino III allegedly opened fire during the gathering. San Antonio police reported that the violence erupted following an earlier altercation between a partygoer and a neighbor. Subsequently, the neighbor returned to the scene with family members.

Upon the neighbor's return, a heated argument ensued in the front yard of the house party. It escalated when Trevino produced a firearm and began firing shots. The gunfire struck Marvin Medrano, Jennifer Colin, and their 13-year-old daughter. In response, Medrano also discharged his firearm, causing injuries to Trevino and a relative of Trevino.

The 13-year-old girl was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Trevino and his relative received medical attention for their non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.

Trevino has been charged with the crime.
