On October 30, 2023, San Marcos Police put out an alert on a suspect in a homicide.case. The incident occurred in the morning in the 900 block of North Interstate 35. The suspect had been seen traveling southbound away from the crime area.
In the afternoon, 32-year-old Andre Jerome Symon of San Antonio was arrested without further incident. Symon has been charged with murder. He has a history of arrests in San Marcos dealing with aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
No bond amount has been set.
