A Northside Independent School District (NISD) Officer was injured during an incident at the Northside ISD Aquatic Center involving trespassers. On the evening of September 24th, the officer responded to reports of individuals unlawfully present inside the facility.
Upon arrival, the NISD Officer encountered three males, all of whom attempted to flee the scene. Two of the suspects managed to escape in a white Ford Mustang. When the officer tried to stop them, they drove toward him, striking him in the process. The officer discharged his duty weapon, firing one round before falling to the ground.
The suspect that did not get into the vehicle was apprehended. However, the two individuals who escaped in the Mustang are currently evading law enforcement. Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating these remaining suspects.
The injured NISD Officer, after receiving medical attention, has recovered from the incident and is in stable condition.
Authorities urge anyone with information regarding the incident or the whereabouts of the two suspects to contact the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Homicide Unit at 210-207-7635.
