A man was hospitalized in critical condition after an altercation with his girlfriend turned violent early Wednesday morning. According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. at the Trove Southtown Apartments, located off East Cevallos Street near Probandt Street on the South Side of San Antonio.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported to investigators that he had been engaged in a heated argument with his girlfriend when the situation escalated. Allegedly, during the dispute, the girlfriend produced a knife and proceeded to stab the man in the back and leg.
Emergency services were summoned to the scene, and the wounded man was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. He is currently listed in critical condition.
The suspect, identified as the girlfriend in question, was taken into police custody following the incident.
