8th Grade A Team
Last night our volleyball girls traveled to Pearsall for our season opener to take on the Lady Dogies. We struggled to shake off first game jitters. Together the Lady Bulldogs fought through the process and fell short in two tight sets. 19-25 and 21-25 Stats for the game: Serving Aces: Kinli Mcintosh: 2, Alexis Fraizer: 2, Haily Livingston: 2 Pyper Barnard: 1 Addison Ashcraft: 1 Kills: Pyper Barnard: 3 Kolbie Lawlis: 2 Mckenna Jones: 1 Brynleigh Hauer:1 Isabella Pace: 1 Mia Ranly: 1 Assists: Briley Clark: 4 Digs: Kinli Mcintosh: 2 and Taylor Marrs: 1 This week we are going to work on stronger communication and movement as we will be ready to take on Devine next Wednesday, September 6th, here at our Doghouse!!!
8th Grade B Team
Bandera Middle School's 8th Grade B Team clinched a memorable victory against Pearsal's 8th Grade B Team. The highlight of the game was undoubtedly Olivia Walker's extraordinary serving setting the rhythm of the game. Karlee Hamilton was another key player who made her presence felt throughout the match. Her solid court awareness and quick reflexes allowed her to make crucial plays when it mattered the most. With this inspiring win, the Bandera Middle School 8th Grade B Team has undoubtedly boosted its morale for the challenges that lie ahead. Congratulations to the 8th Grade B Team for their stellar win!
7th Grade A Team
Lady Bulldogs traveled to Pearsall to take on the Lady Dogies. The A Team won in two matches 25-8 and 25-9. After a couple days of practice these girls came out ready to play! We had multiple hits at the net from Brooke Montelongo, Brylyn Thornburgh, and Rehnahta Gomez. Along with excellent sets from Kassidy Sizemore, Blu Rollo and Gracen Spruell. Serving stand outs were Gracen Spruell who scored 11 in a row, Blu Rollo who scored 10 in a row and Brooke Montelongo who scored 8 in a row and strong serves from Hadley Rogers. Elle Vander Zee played great back row with getting her passes up to her setters. Maddie Arriola, Emma Mclintock and Jasmine Rhodes played great front row stopping the opponents from getting the ball to the other side. I am so proud of how strong these girls played and I can’t wait to watch them grow together.
7th Grade B Team
7B Lady Bulldogs played against Pearsall Monday night, winning both sets 14-10 and 15-12. The entire team exceeded expectations and played great team volleyball. Shout out to Maikenna Ybarra, Mackenzie Clay, and Kendall Schmitt for excellent serves during the game. The team looks forward to the next game against Devine on Wednesday.
