Austin Man Wanted on Aggravated Robbery and Assault Charges Arrested in Hays County

HAYS COUNTY, Texas. A wanted Austin man was taken into custody Wednesday by the Hays County Fugitive Apprehension Unit with assistance from local and state law enforcement agencies.

According to the Hays County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested 19-year-old Kasen Aiden Priestly of Buda, TX, on July 15 without incident.

Priestly was wanted by the Kyle Police Department on warrants charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, and aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. The warrants had been issued on July 12th. 

Authorities said Priestly was transported to the Hays County Jail, where he was booked on the outstanding warrants.  His bond was set at $80,000.  On July 16th, he posted bail and was released.  The legal case is pending.

The Hays County Sheriff's Office credited the Kyle Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol for assisting in the operation.
