Bexar County Deputies Seize Nearly $500,000, Marijuana and Firearms During West San Antonio Drug Raid

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A woman was arrested and nearly half a million dollars in cash was seized after Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputies executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence in West San Antonio, authorities said.

The search warrant was executed at approximately 4:20 p.m. on June 11, 2026, at a residence in the 9000 block of Hyatt Resort Drive.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began after deputies received a tip alleging possible narcotics activity at the residence. Detectives gathered information and obtained a search warrant approved by a judge.

During the operation, deputies detained a woman at the front door of the residence and identified her as Danielle Gill.

Gill was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 or 2-A, 4 grams or more but less than 400 grams, and Possession of Marijuana, more than 5 pounds but less than 50 pounds.

A search of the home led to the seizure of approximately 5,768 grams of marijuana, 43 grams of THC wax, 197 grams of THC vape products, an AR-15-style rifle, a Glock 9mm handgun and $492,425 in U.S. currency.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said illegal narcotics operations often contribute to broader criminal activity in communities.

"Over the years, many of our violent crimes, including homicides can be traced back to confrontations over THC vape cartridges," Salazar said. "This issue continues to be a pervasive problem, and is obviously a big money business."

The sheriff also credited deputies and members of the public whose information helped initiate the investigation.
